Another Mount Robson Photo
This one is from 1978 on a weekend backpack trip into Berg Lake. It doesn't always look like this, but when it does it is breathtaking!

Thanks everyone for those great pics - now my appetite is growing and growing, but I need to wait until June, when my X-Canada trip starts!
So this weekend I will spend in the snow with the 690 Enduro, just to get my "biking hormone" levels down!

Looking forward to spring
Even with temperatures well above seasonal levels here in Alberta, this time of year is difficult. Yes, you can spend time skiing, snowshoeing, and even hiking this year, but there is no substitute for the two outdoor activities that are my passion, motorcycle travel and sailing. This year, I plan to do a bunch of both. The "big trip" on the KTM this year is a ride to the Yukon, including the Dempster to Inuvik if the weather and road conditions permit. On the sailing front, I plan to do another circumnavigation of Vancouver Island, something I haven't done since 2006. There will also be a number of short trips both by motorcycle and boat and I even plan on combining the two and doing a Vancouver Island back roads motorcycle tour and a sailing trip through Desolation Sound all in a three week period in September. Gunnerbuck's photos of Northern Vancouver Island have whetted my appetite for a moto-camping trip in his neck of the woods.
Keep the photo's coming. More inspiration is always appreciated. Here is photo on the Powderface Trail, west of Calgary last August ![]() David |
