Question Not so fast Jon B.

Not sure if I will make it or not. I am guessing that I will be a no show at this event. I am Son 2 as the old man referred below.

Hmmm... Gonna need a trailer for the bike(s), I guess.

Is this the Martineau trail system? There's something over 100 miles of ridin' to be had there.

Jon

martineau trails

Kids should listen to their parents, when told to do something they should just do it no questions asked. Yes, this is the Martineau trail system and it has many miles of every kind of trail from smooth dirt road to difficult single track in rocky hills with dense trees. We look forward to another great weekend of riding, BS, eating, BS, sitting by the fire and BSing, picking up more KLR's after there naps, BS, and just BSing with alot of great people. (real similar to last years Brainerd lakes area ride that Todd was so gracious to host.) I can't wait for this years!

I'm waiting for my rear fender to come today for my WR, so this time I will be legal to ride on the roads. I need it to finish installing the street legal kit from Tusk, great kit for the money.

Will extra clutch and brake levers be available at the event (for KLRS) ?
I can weld all the parts back on the KLR's so they should be ok if we can keep them from napping so much. (my F650GS did take a couple of short naps last year) I think I will be riding my WR this time.

I'd bring the DRZ (E), NOT the KLR! The KLR is not a single-track machine. The Emergency Room in Manistique, Michigan, has convinced me of that.

Jon

ps - even though SSg B can't make it, I might be there for at least part of the ride.

I would, but my parents are getting a bit ca-razy in their old age. I have already told him that I would do the Tough Mudder run with him this fall. My mom is thinking she needs to get some goats, they have both fallen clean off their rockers! We are planning on going to this system later sometime this year, why would I want to run it twice, it would lose interest the second time

It has been at least 6 years since my last trip to the ER, Jon B- you cannot say the same thing!

Yeah, but it's been over six months! Almost 8, in fact. And it was just that one toe...

ps: the world keeps getting smaller. Turns out that inmate "toddelof" was my boss way, way back in time. 1986-87, to be precise.

I don't think "street legal" kept you off some of the roads last year. But, I'm sure you will be putting a lot more miles on it. Can't wait to see you wip that thing through the trails. Has to be more nimble than the BMW.

I might show up Saturday morning and my family might come over Saturday night to see the cows. I'm trying to include my family in more stuff this summer so I can do more stuff.

I just want everyone to know that is reading this thread that Biker4ever and Bikergirl4ever are really great people with big hearts, a long driveway, and a big yard. Don't be afraid to come up and bike with us just because you don't know them yet. It will be a really great weekend. Even if you don't have a dirt bike there is a lot of good riding in the area.

I'm going to be on my "do everything bike" DRZ400S. It's going to look a little different this year. New headlight, Exhaust, trail tech speedo, new exhaust, and fully adjustable front forks. Looking forward to some single track.

Thank you. You know your family can stay here also. We definitely have the room. No worries about traffic and kids.
