spring ride

If there is room for one more I would like to book a small camp spot. I am not much for single track but looks like a lot of other good riding in your area. Thanks bikergirl.

You are more than welcome to show up. We have a large yard and about a 40 acre pasture for camping. You don't have to ride single track. I know that Toddelof and myself will be riding on dirt roads and forest roads.

Ride-til-sore do you have your new seat yet? Lance just got his last week for the WR but has not had a chance to try it. I am going to order one for the XT and a heated one for the GS.

Well, I'm bringing the DRZ400 and I *am* gonna ride the single-track!! By that time, I shall have two DRZ 400 Es, so will have to decide which to bring. Maybe both, so I have a spare...

I rode the KLR on the 1100-mile Cannon Trek, so have had enough of off-road riding on a fat bike. Ain't gonna do that no more!

What you don't understand is, this project is actually saving money. Street tires last longer then DOT knobbies when your riding on pavement everyday. Although money is not my motivation, the rims with new bearing will cost about $250. I can't wait to see how well sportier rubber holds the road on a 300lbs. bike. Hopefully by May 20th I'll have some new rubber on my spoked tires too. I want something with more knobs for your place and for the black hills in June.
I have to make spacers for the wheels this week. Turn the front rotor. Mount the new tires, Shinko 705 and Pirelli MT60, which are coming Tuesday, and it should all be ready. I'm going to use these rims to ride up to the Northshore Shindig. Last year after 600 miles there was a lot of tire wear for 1 weekend.
Here's the link to my project. http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/954...1#entry9998855

I here ya, i did some single tracks on my F650GS and I'm pretty sure it wasn't designed exactly for them. For some reason I kept getting high centered on everything and with all that weight, it wasn't real easy to get it off. The WR is alot more fun.
