My buddy and I were talking yesterday that it would be funny to ride to the Oark Cafe that we ate at during the TAT just for lunch. It's about 1200 miles away haha.

I once rode up to Buffalo from NJ just to grab some wings at the Anchor bar.

Barry,

Thanks for putting the video together.

It turned out great, especially the surprise ending.

OK, Frank convinced me this would be a good idea.

I will be leading a ride this summer through southern York and Lancaster Counties. Here is a link.

Hey Everyone.
A few people asked me post about the next track weekend. It will be April 28th and 29th at Summit Point Raceway in WV. If anyone wants to check it out, its a great ride thru back roads to get there from PA. And free camping if you want to crash the night before heading back. And if you are interested in Riding, go to http://www.motorcyclexcitement.com/. If we get enough people I might be able to arrange our own run group. And a nice beginner class for those who want it. Either way I will be able to give some strong one on one track instruction.
Its will be a good time. And a different experience. Hell come down for some nice riding, watch a little track action and then take advantage of free camping with some good people. I will have my RV there, so there will be a place to keep the beer cold and warm up food. I would not be surprised if we had a good showing at night for the camping at least. I have to work most of the day, but I am done by 2-3 O'clock and often go for a nice ride until dark. And then maybe some dinner, beer run and back to the track for the night.

Hey Dennis, that link says that the Track Days are at Shenandoah, Wv that weekend. Is that the same as Summit Point?

Yep, same place, different track.

I almost posted the same thing. I am happy that you took care of that for me.

No worries Sky. I took the bullet for ya! Hey Dennis, sounds like a really cool weekend. I was thinking about riding the Boyer Farm hare scramble that Sunday, but........ Do we need leathers if we ride the track? I don't have any.

I have seen people in the beginner group ride with non leather riding suits. A back protector and armor in the suit is a must. No jeans and jacket for sure. Unless its the try the track session they do at lunch. But the pace is super slow and is only like 3 laps.
Shenny is at Summit Point. And to my it's the best course there. Great for smaller slower bikes. Definitely a a nice day trip on Saturday from Harrisburg.

I would love to do a track day, especially on the way home from LF. Showing up with a totally filthy bike sporting knobby tires...yeah, that could be fun.

Unfortunately, we are saving for a trip to Idaho this year, so the admission price is too high for now.
