Alberta->ID->OR->BC and back again.

Planning on an outing to break in the new Vstrom. I've been trying to figure out the most scenic/fun route to take and have come up with this:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...e2d3cb60&msa=0

Can anyone suggest alternate routing for this? I am unsure whether I should do the Kamloops to Valemount route or change it to Kelowna to Revelstoke and Golden, then back up.

I've driven the Oregon Coast in a car, and it's been my goal ever since to come back on a motorcycle. This will be a 2-up trip with the wife and dirt/gravel isn't welcome, but it's doable if it's worth it.

You might consider catching hwy 20 that runs through northern Washington to tie your going and coming routes together. It is very scenic and twisty. I would also suggest instead of going to Boise you cut off at Cambridge and head over to Halfway Oregon and then to Baker and John Day. That is all much more scenic with little traffic and nice twisty roads.
