What are the details for riding this weekend? I'm pretty lazy, and only got as far as 6 pages back before I decided just to ask

Pardon my newbness, but is TTRU a water crossing in the very general vicinity of Middleburg VA? The videos people have look familiar from a ride I was on last year. Unfortunately I can't find that spot on Google Maps/Earth

Picture I have from said crossing (opposite direction of the videos)

Yes, but only because the Butt Lite ends that Thursday, and at the same hotel that the meet is being held at. Plus, I could probably use a few days of down time after a 6 day rally, and they are having a Q&A session for rookies participating in the 2013 IBR that is probably wise for me to attend.

Depending upon the exact date that I end up transferring to Colorado springs, I might just drive south, leave my bike in Colorado Springs, and then fly home.

No apology needed.....TTRU is really just an inside joke among us. The sticker Jax posted spells it out.

Help a couple of slow pokes among us pick up their bikes when they inevitably fall, get stuck in mud, or stall in a deep water crossing, and you'll quickly become a member

[Disclaimer: my choice of words above is in no way intended to imply that I may, or may not be, one of the slow pokes who needs help picking up his bike when I most certainly fall down in any sort of mud or sand ]

Who hasn't done this? When I was a teenager I used to take an old bultaco trials bike that had a 3 bolt casing, jump it into my lake or try and ride it through creeks where the water was approaching my head. Sometimes I made it, sometimes I didn't. The good thing was if I didn't the bike was light and after removing three bolts and dumping all the water and putting back in some oil it was good as new. Doubt many bikes could do that now. A 125 2stroke isn't that sophisticated.

You'd be surprised. At that same spot, where that 1150is being pulled out, I dunked my 1200. Pulled the spark plugs, drained the oil (and 2 quarts of creek water), filled her up and off I went. I was afraid I had done irreparable damage... not the case.

That's fantastic, I am sure doing it repetitively isn't a good thing.

So what time are you guys targeting for Sheetz? I get the impression the crew is an early morning group. Is 9AM still the plan or are you targeting closer to 8AM?

So J4S and Toad, how'd the bridge treat you today? Over or under?
