KTM 200 front and rear. Luckily they just showed up and got them installed.
Well see if I turned my rear brake into a on/off switch I've been running EBC carbon's (the red ones) in the back because they don't have allot of intital bite but I don't think they'll last an entire race even with the solid rear rotor considering how fast I went through them last weekend. (3 laps killed a 2/3 worn pad to the metal). They where getting harder to lockup too in these colder conditions I'm not much of a brake dragger and couldn't keep the heat in them. So I put on the sinstered MXS pads. |

Hangover
Does anyone know if you need a D-7 card? If so, $10 gate fee, $40 race fee, $30 district card. Just seems kinda steep.

We'll see some places don't charge gate fee's for racers some do. I'm not sure if you'll need the D7 card on to of your ama card or not. The HS rules don't specifically call it out the way the enduro and MX rules do.

I was kind of surprised I haven't heard anything back from the Mdcomprider group. When I registered online, I got a message stating I would receive more information before the event...
I've also tried emailing them a couple times and every email I've sent gets returned as undeliverable ![]() Hopefully, the Mrs will be coming up early for Cheyenne's Mini race, then taking the girls home sometime after so they aren't out in the cold...and she gets to try out her new camera

ALCON,
1. There is a gate fee at this race ($10). I have not been to a race in years that didn't have a gate fee. Its how the land owner gets their cut. The entry fee is for the Club/AMA/Trophies/Admin. 2. You don't need to be D7 at any race if you're not running for year end points 3. You must be AMA for all D7 and ECEA races 4. Go for Class first then age when you register - (i.e., start with skill level then age...and note that some old guys are VERY fast and some young guys are VERY crazy). Some races have a Sportsman class that are fast but not in it for points - points are what makes the racers go crazy fast. 5. The MdComp guys are notorious for not replying. From what I've been told, they do that registration because Wicomico can't have more than 200 riders - but it isnt likely they will get 200 riders per race - so the registration isn't used. 6. You dont need any numbers on your bike - you will get a sticker for the left side of your helmet that teh gate will use to score you as you pass through. You will go through Tech Inspection prior to the race and tehy will tell you if you need to tape over your numbers or not. Most races are using transponders so they don't care what you have but this is a small race and they may ask you to tape over your numbers. Tom250xc screwed with this post 01-04-2013 at 09:55 AM |

AMA Rulebook
I decided it would be prudent to read the AMA rulebook. Of the paltry 212 pages, only about 42 apply to hare scrambles. I was most forlorn to read you must complete 50% the number of laps of the "division winner" to be considered a "finisher". Ergo, my previous plan of a victory gallop lap or two might be remiss
![]() As the current 3rd place Eagle Bay women's Blind Enduro finisher, I feel this is a tall order to complete!
