Bet you could commission Blaster to build you one for half that price

My guess is not break down or be a maintenance headache and parts availability is probably better as well.

parts availability for a custom bike...

my 950 has never left me stranded i think it's quiet funny how everyone thinks they are maintenance nightmares and break down all the time.

Not to mention i get to have more fun than any of the other adventure bike.

I hate to put them all in the same category but every single event I attend there is someone there having to turn a wrench on their Orange machine to make it run. I don't need more power I need dead nuts reliability for an Adventure bike...Japanese bikes bring that. It's an EX500 (?) motor and a dirt bike chassis with custom mounts and exhaust and suspension that appears to be tweaked stock/upgraded, so very common stuff. Just remember that Harley's are pretty darn reliability as well if the owners would keep their fingers off them and quit trying to make them better.

More fun is in the eye of the beholder.

the problem with the on-line discussion is that no one will see the other side.
following up on Blaster's observation the number of ride reports with KTM problems is very high,

That's only because the trip to Starbucks is kinda tame and BMW has that down.

Thanks guys for posting your videos of the Hare Scramble. I have really enjoyed watching them and seeing what they are all about, it gave me a new perspective. Maybe once I get back riding again I will give one a try.
