Not to be a downer but the G450X I rode was a turd. It couldn't get front end traction any where. I mean even David Knight couldn't find a podium with it. He ended up leaving bmw mid season built a privateer kawaski (with wp suspesion which surprised me) and 1 week later won snoeshoe gncc on it (probably the hardest harescramble on the calendar)

I heard they got better after 2009 though so maybe they fixed it.

The hp2 is cool as hell though. I mean it's no 950 but it's pretty cool

Th 450's, 650's, and the HP2's all have known shitty front suspension, some have shitty back as well. I have had both ends of my HP worked to help correct those problems....not a racer so even with shitty suspension any of them would work for me.

Why would you want to start there though? Specially with so many other awesome 450's out there. I can understand it in the 650 or HP2 market because those bikes are fairly unique.

And the HP2 looks really cool. Probably have to get some titanium pucks for the valve covers though on the street version.

I rode GSA_Pilots 450 and it definitely was not a turd, 50HP and 250lbs! If I owned one it would most likely never see the track and would get good suspension and the largest gas tanks I could get, oh and some Wolfman bags. TAT bike.

Not trying to be obstinate :) but 250lb's and 50hp is nothing to write home about for a 450, no? Does it have a full subframe in the back? That'd be cool.

For me yes that is a strong number for a 4 stroke bike, and most if not all the bikes which are that light have terrible sub frames to save weight. If it's only going to see the inside of a track or limited distance off road then a two stroke is probably where its at anyway. It comes down to preference for the most part unless you are a top rider...I am not! Some brands will not cross my threshold so another limiting factor.

Yeah, i like my 2 stroke but my 450SMR is pretty sweet too :)

In an unrelated note, got my cast cut off yesterday, finger still doesn't line up quiet right and has no strength, doc said we should wait to see where it is in another 3 weeks.

Being that he didn't say i couldn't start working it although i didn't really ask him. I went out and got some theraputty and have been using it, my powerball and my theraband to try and loosen up my wrist and get some strength back in that hand. Can't make a fist yet but i can grip a handlebar again.

Dibs on the second bedroom for Karen and I

I will have to truck the bike out though...only way I'll be able to carry enough wine to keep her happy while we go riding

All right. That fills the cabin, short of the couch (which I believe is a pull out).

If folks have additional interest, I would be willing to reserve you a second cabin. Sleeping configuration is

2-Bedroom Cabins
Bedroom 1) Queen bed
Bedroom 2) 2 each twin beds
Living room: Couch (I believe it was a pull out)
"Marriott" hotel feeling

3-Bedroom Trailers
Each bedroom has a queen. I have only seen these from the outside, so no idea how they "feel" inside.

$70/night for either cabin/trailer. I think there are 3 trailers, and 10 cabins total.
