Mostly a flood pattern close in. My biggest lighting improvement has been changing the low beam to HID. It almost makes the Hi beam useless.

Need to practice this kind of riding more ...purely for research purposes of course

Certainly no issues with feeling cold once we got moving...it was actually quite nice...

Anyone interested in riding tomorrow ??

Ran into jrNasty...When Erik and I got there, we could hear another bike, but there was no truck or trailer at the water tower so figured it must be a local. After a couple laps on the short loop..out he pops from the long loop.

No lets see if I can get the gopro footage edited and posted

sounds like the ground was frozen

I'm not sure I really want to dig into this, I might just take it to Motovation.
Interesting failure point and fix!

So Dana has been contemplating replacing her PIAA's with an LED type light....anyway I thought this video was well done, so much so I would consider buying their lights.

My LED setup

LED lights
2012 Triple Black lights
Setup I have on my 2012 R1200GS Triple Black driving /flood lights . I programmed 1 Autoswitch for the LED driving lights to operate on the 1 long pulse. I programmed another Autoswitch to operate the LED flood lights with the 2 quick pulse method. I used Bosch relays to control the lights. Both are wired into a "Fuzeblock". to trigger the Autoswitch I am using the the Turn signal cancel button with the leds indicators located beside the switch. The top LED indicates status of top lights, Bottom indicator bottom lights. They can be controlled totally independant of each other. I used a "Posi-lock" to tap into the blue w/white tracer wire located at the ignition in the right handlebar bundle.

Upper lights on (hard to see in pic)top indicator green. Lower lights off red

Both lights on.

Flood lights on

Driving lights on.

All lights on including HID low beam

2-10watt x 800 lumen = 1600 lumen LED lights on top with driving light lens inserted. (come with interchangable flood, driving, fog lens) Current draw 750 milliamps @ 12 volts each
2 -27 watt x 2160 lumen = 4320 lumen lower flood lights . Current draw 2.0A @ 12V each

Fucking postal service sucks. So my Renazco, which shipped out last Mon. from NC, was supposed to be here Wed. On Thursday it departed Atlanta. Why the fuck it was in Atl. is beyond me. The seller has been very helpful. He contacted USPS and they said that someone dropped the ball. No way should it be in Atl. He's going to refund my money until it arrives. If it doesn't arrive he'll file an insurance claim.

And I was so looking forward to that seat.

Sorry hear about the shipping woes. The only interesting tibit I've noticed is their tracking system utterly sucks. I've had shipments arrive the next day, and never to update the tracking, I've had them loose registered mail (never to be found again), and I've it track properly.

I would caution you on the following nuisance: if he insured it for less than face value and takes the payout, if/when USPS locates the item, they will take it. He will be out the item and the cash.

In other news, the monthly advanced cornering clinics have changed their policies.
