It was good to get out but I need to be careful still, a little sore last night but good today. The bike felt pretty good but I need to make a few adjustments to the suspension since this has been the first time ridden since all the mods.

Plenty of things going on this year so it shouldn't be hard for us to get together.

Weather page

I found this over in the planning section and thought it was kind of cool, should allow for good historical weather data for future trip planning.

Yeah I'm just trying to optimize off-road performance with on-road fuel economy. Problem is there doesn't seem to be a sweet spot for the 990 in both categories....

Checking in... Will be out of the AO for the RTE. Sucks but on a happier note, yesterday I traded my Wheels for skis.

Allot of people report they didn't notice a drop in fuel economy with the 16. I'll probably try it when i need a new chain but i've never had a problem with the adventure off road any how. If you're that low in 1st gear on that bike off road you're doing something wrong imho, and when I am, well that's why it's got a wet clutch instead of a dry clutch.

And it's got 90hp, so normally i just twist the grip some more.

Totally random posts here (), but wanted to ask whether anyone has received any EB listserve traffic in the last month or so? Don asked the IT guy to add me to the list, not to mention the follow-up email I sent the guy a month later, but I haven't received any chatter.

Also, though I am a 'finger-tight-and-just-a-little-more' kind of guy, I've been looking for a decent (reads: cheap but somewhat accurate) torque wrench for the new bike. The 3/8" Craftsman digi-clicker wrench is being blown out for half price, so I had to pull the tigger:

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...D=361116&aff=Y

using 'SEARS2013' drops it another Lincoln to $55.

Once I pick it up, I'll measure against my torque-wrench snob friend's CDI and see if it's close enough for government work.

Working fine for us but Donk said on Sunday that others have been having problems getting on the list.
