I pitched Don a full-blown website much like the Northern Virginia Trail Riders have/had. I envisioned some forums, event calendars, section for media/videos/pictures/et al....but never heard back from him.

I personally feel like he's trying to keep it a bit more low key than that. To many riders would beat the trails up, have more people riding illegally and generally be bad for it's continued existence.

Don-K

I rode with Don back in the 70s when he lived in Beltsville Md even then when we cut new trails we would angle them and keep the entrance small so the 3 and 4 wheelers wouldnt find them . I got to ride with him and Kathy at the Sh500 last year first time I had seen them since I quit riding enduros in 92 they both are still fine riders and Don still wears those ear plugs and never looks back

Tentative Sat Plan of Action?

Well need to watch the rain closely, as I am mostly a puss.

1100 Meet at WaWa Dahlgren
1130 Head over to Eagle Bay
Ride till we cry
1400 (?) Load out
1500 Arrive Blastoff Adventures
Have some burgers, chow and merriment and celebrate the Yearling of SoMD Adventure Riding! The front riding field may be firm enough to watch EOD3MC get some bad ideas. Zelda will be available to rescue downed riders.

Me, too.

After a couple decades away from it, I was all in the mud puddles out there and having a blast...for the first month. Now, however, the novelty of washing the new bike has more than worn off and I made up a new rule—I will not ride for less time than I have to spend cleaning it. lol

I need to stay out of the Flea Market. That place is costing me a small fortune. Found this for Dave though....

Extra fuel tank for the 990 and it's even local.

Todd is a good guy. I meet him last year at the BWDR campout. Damn that Giant Loop is tempting.

What have you been buying? A new TWVT bike?

Once you conquer (that means didn't crash or die while riding at super turtle speed) the trail as I have, I feel it is important to move on and let the "little people" have a go at the podium (I find it also helps to have 5 riders in your division).

Wasn't Gastone funding Dakkar in 2015?

Looking like we need to reschedule the festivities to a later date which is better suited to having fun. I still may go riding but postponing festivities for now. Dave let me know if you are still in for Eagle Bay. I am going to see if I can get Dana to help me with the preload setting on the DRZ tomorrow..... unless you want to help.
