Don't think I need it. My tank mounts to the UNI panels which mount on the frame.

Spring Gobbler Hunting at Eagle Bay

Remember, it's currently Spring Gobbler. No riding from now until 4 May before noon. From 4-18 May, further restrictions you can only ride Wed & Sun.

As we're coming down the home stretch for the TWVT ride, I'm trying to get all the loose ends tied up. I still haven't got my luggage worked out. What is everyone else doing? I like the Woolfman bags but they require a rack which they don't seem to have a fitment for the 625. The other go to will be the Giant Loop.

You are more than welcome to stop by this week or this weekend and try my Giant Loop on your bike. FWIW, it didn't fit the contour of the F650 well at all. I am much happier with th fit on the DR200, but I am still running the racks with it.

I also bought dry sack liners for it, as the only other time we had it on (TWVT last time) it leaked like a sieve (even with the seam sealer).

If I was going to do something from scratch, I am not sure that I would have bought the Giant Loop again. By the time you buy it, the waterproof linerers, you are probably north of $450...and at that rate, you could buy anything.

Erik,

did you check out the Kriega setup on my bike? Easy enough to install and they offer quite a few options. I've got 30 liters of waterproof storage and I can add up to another 30 liters in the form of a Kriega tailbag, that ties in. $299 delivered, and no rack to worry about. Did 5 hour each way trip two weeks ago with no concerns.

Thanks for the offer but between you and Bruce I think you talked me out of GL.

I did see your setup and for some reason I thought they were Woolfman. No racks needed huh? Where did you purchase them?

Has this been in effect for a week or so? ...was out there Thursday or Friday and the shotgun blasts were giving me flashbacks; I instantly setup a reminder on my phone to check the EB word document that covered restricted/blackout dates when/if I made it out and home alive.

Edit: checked my logbook....was last saturday (and I was surprised to have it all to myself again). Whoopsie.

A quick search seems to indicate that the 640A (LC4) has the same subframe and that luggage for those seem to work...one guy uses dirtbagz.

Probably not big enough but an option none the less.

I kinda made the assumption that 640 adventure stuff would fit. Touratech even has Candy but its a little pricy. Waiting to hear back from Revzilla on a price match on the Kriega stuff.
