Glad you made it alright... We waited for quite a while around the 2.5 mile mark and figured something must have gone wrong. Given there was two of u we headed on. I dropped it a few times myself mainly on some front wheel wash outs but no damage done.

How are you guys liking the Anakee 3's? Considering those or the Karoo 3's.

How are they holding up, on road off road? Mileage?

Saw Mortons has rear karoo 3's but no fronts.

Let me know. Thx

Yes, sir. Thanks for the long loop tour! (and the great tip about using the clutch as the brake while in gear and backing down the hill. Of course I was holding in the clutch and using the front brake...and sliding. Lesson learned).

I feel okay about venturing in there by myself now, so long as it's equally dry...but a day or two after a major rain might be a little too slick for me still and would err on the side of caution until I log many more laps of that loop.

Mother Nature "Happened"

Some sort of slow moving thunderstorms for the next 72 hrs. So, we've decided to come home this week and head back out in a few weeks for try #3

Decided we would save our vacation and use it when the weather was a bit more cooperative....not a problem with rain just not three days worth when home is 200 miles away. Going back out to continue where we left off in a couple of weeks.

Thanks! The last time someone did this to me I came home with a DRZ. Apparently Husky is offering $2500 off selected models, I just don't know if its a TE449 or not.

Yeah I saw that storm coming but I didn't know it was going to last 72 hours! It's one thing to ride in the rain or camp in the rain it total sucks when you ride AND camp in the rain. Well I look forward to hearing more about the adventure in a couple of weeks! Lets hope the weather is on your side this time around.

The other thing that happens in WVa is all the water runs off so fast. The streams just get so engorged and really become unpassable quickly. All the same to me, I still spent 3 nice days behind the bars of bike.

PS I think "avoid highway" will be my new favorite option on the Garmin. What a great route home we had!

If you guys are headed out, and don't mind a tag along, I'd love to ride out with you guys! Looks like just the sort of ride for the BRP!!
Cheers!
Did you go? If so, was it good fun?
