A six hour trip took nine hours. No GPS, no maps... no problem. I'll just spend my time wandering between Penn, NJ, back to Penn. Wait, what the fuck am I doing in NJ? Fuck.

Looks like IMS is just about ready to release an add on gas tank for the TE449/511! It will live up front like a regular tank and feed the under seat tank. That should give me about 5 gallons of fuel and it is sold with a Seat Concepts seat as well which will be a welcomed upgrade. So I should be able to get between 200 and 250 miles out a fill up....perfect!

Nice score. I'm still sitting on the TT coffee table cleverly disguised as a gas tank. It'd be nice if I could find an auxiliary fuel option. I was stopping every 95-105 miles today to fill up. Not fun.

That about where I would be bone dry. When I worry more about where I will find gas than the difficulty of the trail that's BS.

Maybe it's time for one of the Aux tanks from the KTM that mounts on the back......I think I know where you can get one.

I assume you're alluding to me...or maybe not. Regardless, I just back on Monday from the St. Lawrence River where I was vacationing with the GF. On the way up and back I was averaging 40 mpg! I've never ever ever ever got that! Frankly I didn't believe it and I keep my receipts from the fuel ups. When I got back to DC I double checked the mileage from fuel stop to fuel stop to make sure my odometer wasn't messed up....nope everything checked out. The only thing that's changed is the chain and sprockets. Looks like that makes all the difference in the world!

I think mpg has more to do with throttle input. You could give Dave all the sprocket in the world and he'd still figure out a way to decrease mpg.

So since Blaster's Bday will be on the Shenandoah 500, I've decided to comp his entry. Now, I've just got to figure out how to bungee cord the cake to the back of the bike. I am thinking nothing better than Bday through some handlebars with cake!

No, she maxed that out years ago when I was going overseas a lot but I think she has found new opportunities.

Another very nice morning for a ride even though I snapped the heated grips on low, glad I installed those last year.
