Done.

Gota make a run to the dump in a few. I'll take the spot with me to see if it works. Set up a 5 mile exclusion zone, I'll check to see if that works too.

Posted up a depart time and location for the RTE.

I think it's time for a new group photo for the front page.

Nope, it's not. The trick is really knowing that you want "that shot" and stopping now. We past a few shots and actually ended up back tracking to get them (which took 3X longer (past, back and forward again!))

You so funny little man!

Are you coming to the RTE tomorrow? Going to the bike shop afterwards and then up to REI in case you were interested or anyone else for that matter.

Have you noticed that you trip over two other street-legal bikes in the garage on your way over to the Katoom?

RTE, RTB, RTB some more then back to RTE

I am not really sure where this belongs, so we'll drop this one here. Anyhow, the day starts innocently enough at WaWa. Met some new faces and rode with some old ones (J4S, Blaster, Dorito, VACommuter, MotomanDan, RaysGSADV and Drew).

RaysGSADV and Drew

Then Joints4Sale lead us a spirtely ride over the hills and through the country to the RTE. There was one particulary nasty intersection of Croom Rd and RT381 which is very steep a bit off-camber and has limited sight of the heavy traffic. Needless to say, motoman dan thought he'd show us his skid plate.

While it was quite a nice skid plate, most had never seen a GSA a a zero degree incline. Normally, the big pig only wallows at a 15 degrees since she'd normally lay on her panniers or valve covers. With the odd topography of the intersection, he'd craftily placed the bike between both. Never fear, he was up and operational before the rest of the clan circled back (or even snapped a photo!). So the russian judge gives that a 8 out of 10 stars!

Had a leisurely lunch filled with many laughs. Thanks to Walt and Patty for sharing that tee shirt "if you can read this, the girl fell off" really does happen (more than once too!).

Bikes:

More bikes:

And still some more:

A special thanks to Gastone for giving macorell24 the weekend off to spend with his wingmate (Amy). Amy wins the award for the furthest to the RTE (Washington State).

Some see the world as the glass is half empty. Other see the the same glass as half full. Amy sees the glass as plenty of room for more lemons! I guess when god gives you lemons, make lemon-aide!

Vacommuter couldn't keep us from busting up in tears from laughing so hard..

This guy is on TV and famous I hear!

Oh, and those little eclairs are just plain sinful. I wouldn't recommend you have any (more for me then!)

With our bellies full, we headed off to the Grand Opening of Cycle Gear in Laurel, MD (Ride-to-Buy=RTB). Let's just say it's not in the best hood, and very near FEDEX field. However, as good stuarts of Bring More Wallet, almost everyone found something to buy...

Since Cycle Gear didn't quite wet the whistle, we decided to head a few miles south to REI. Of interest to REI members, the attic sale is next weekend 9 June. Also, there are a few classes on GPS navigation. Stocked up some last minute kit for the CDR.

By now, we were just plain tuckered out and needed more chow. Off to Rita's in Charlotte Hall for a custard before heading home.
