Rawhyde event at Bob's

Just got home and it was definitely worth the trip up to hear Jim's talk! He showed about an hour video of the CDR which was professionally done and talked about many of the sites and things to expect along the way. Very reassuring chat which makes me a bit more comfortable with the ride. Saw Jax, Marty and of course Lance who I rode up with, good chatting with you guys as usual.

Did he enlighten you as to what side trips we shouldn't pass by?

he didn't talk about side trips
the evening was very enjoyable but was a combination here is the Continental Divide Ride and a pitch to do the tour with RawHyde. Jim is a good salesman and presents his product very well. The pictures would make anyone want to do the trip.
On the negative side I was a bit taken aback by the gratuitous shot he (and Bob) took at the Greer course (even if it was based on reality).

But he did admit that the BMW course in Greer is in direct competition with Rawhyde.

Northern Neck Friday Ride

I get out of my meeting in California MD at 11:30AM. An hour to get home... should be on the road for 1:00PM... will you all still be riding?

I'll probably be there by about 8:30 on Friday so I'll have time for a coffee and breakfast burrito (in addition to refueling).

I didn't realize this was being advertised so widely. If the crowd is small and laid back, can we make a small detour to this BBQ restaurant (just need a picture) for my Smoke Chasing Grand Tour:

Sho-Nuff Bar-B-Q
1753 Zacata Road, Montross, VA

I need 30 restaurants in Virginia.
