Too bad I just saw this or I would've joined you guys. That place looks pretty good. How's the beer there?

No beer drinkers participated. I'm making up for it with some fresh brew from New Belgium called "Sunshine".

Sorry you missed the festivities! The weather was too damned nice to get a out for a an evening jaunt. As we pull into the parking lot, the primo spot #1 was open (right in front of the door). Before Blaster has his helmet off, the proprietor, Carlos (ADV handle: SM Duck) is already talking to us

Carlos is an incredibly genuine and warm personality. We first learned of the place back in 2012, when he hosted Rawhyde Adventures. Turned out, that we walked away with lots of free loot! Originally, the ad mentioned no food. Carlos kept a bunch of starved ADVers stocked from the kitchen with all his best appetizers. Then to top it off, he gave us tickets for a few glasses of his microbrew. Carlos spared no expense to entertain us that night, all because he is a genuine ADVer giddy to talk all things bike and share his place with ADV.

So, two years later, we ventured back. We sat on the outside patio under the setting sun just soaking up the warm company and the delicious food. On the way out, Carlos bid us farewell. Seems he's got some plans to ride the Continental Divide in 14 months

It's too bad you couldn't join us as it was a great night! What happens a lot around here on Friday's is that someone late morning to mid day decides they are going somewhere for dinner and posts up.....usually me. This doesn't happen every Friday but usually once or twice a month during the summer. The beer....well a large portion of the group doesn't drink or doesn't drink much so you will just have to join us next time and let everyone know.

I have to agree with Dana, Carlos is a super nice genuine guy so stop by and have some great food and maybe some great beer.

Ruddy Duck is always great! Carlos rides an R1200gs and loves bikes. If I wasn't working I would have been there.

Thumb Mortons BMW Open House

Sometime back in the cold dark wintery days, we were at Mortons. Patrick, the most splendid parts guy, asked Blaster if we would consider volunteering for their open house.

Somehow, it's one of those things that you commit to, and then sort of forget. With the pop of the nice weather came the April Open house. Blaster and I manned the Spring Fling informational table. For all those people that think they are going to retire and be the greeter at Walmart, it's harder than you think. I was abysmal at getting folks to sign up. I think I got less than one person per hour. I actually think selling Girl Scout cookies would be easier!

But, Mortons really treats their volunteers well. Got a T, lunch, an offer for dinner at the local Thai food place to boot! It was a fun filled day with 400+ riders. Shout out to Walter, Elnonio, EOD3MC, RaysGS, and Badguy (we past you on Durham Church I think?).

I got the idea from you the other day when you checked in, I had completely forgotten about the place.
