Water Water Everywhere Water

Southern Maryland isn't exactly known for it's elevation changes. So when it rains buckets, well, we pretty much flood. However, today is no exception and it's time for go out for a little gallop on Dorito. I have to say riding in the rain when you aren't far from home is sort of fun. Okay, it's really fun!

You see there are all these poorly maintained culverts which are sometimes 'assisted' in draining by North American beavers. Today has to be the all time highest I've seen the water crest the road. So high, that I actually flooded my street riding boots from the top!

At that point, I had this sinking feeling. Like I was going to making a video of being rescued by a pontoon boat. In fact, if Blaster gets back before the Sun goes down we should go get some live vid of this crazy flooding.

Thanks to all those who whooped me in the pants to get off my dairey-air and get out riding

Better to be rescued by a pontoon than a crane.

I heard Sun @ 1000am. Get there 10-15 min early to sign in and get kit assigned. You only need to buy paint, all other kit and range is paid on the ticket already.

Play as many or as few games as you want.

Normally I'm with you but the entire city got screwed today. Multiple reports of flooding all over town.

Went to see the doc man today and he said the fusion on my foot looks really good and that my ankle is stable so he is pretty darn happy with how things are going. It's going good enough that he said he would see me late summer early fall time frame. I can run on a treadmill if I want but no running on hard surfaces since I have one less joint to take the forces which means it would be concentrated in one. His concern is over the long haul the joints taking the force would break down sooner which may lead to more fusion work. The human body is a very interesting piece of machinery!

Nothing to do with the flooding just poor driving judgement, and to be honest none of the dumb shit was in Baltimore.

Here's a fun one:

Sit-Stay-Ride - movie about dogs in sidecars
From the makers of Why We Ride comes a new movie about dogs in sidecars and their owners. The movie was successfully funded in April on kickstarted and there is a trailer on the site below.
