Anti-vibe

So quite some time back Dana ended up with these anti-vibe inserts from Highway Dirt Bikes, that had just been laying around in a box.

Well the KTM has some pretty good vibes so since I had this set of regular width bars that came with the bike, has woods bars on it now, I figured this was the time to give them a try. So I tapped the end of the bars and put them in this morning. So hopefully this week when my parts come in I can't get the bike back together and provide some feedback on how well they work or don't.

Good morning all!

Time for some breakfast now.

Alrighty...time to put some meat on this plan..

I believe that the PF Chengs Arlington VA will be the closest to the metro. Ballston Station is served by both the new silver line, and the orange line. It should be about .1 miles from the metro to dinner.

Arlington Gateway
901 N Glebe Rd.
Arlington, VA 22203
(703) 527-0955

Our other option is the PF Chengs at Tysons, but it's about .5 mile walk from the metro to the restaurant. Parking however is a bit easier, but it's also a bit further.

My vote is Arlington Location.

As for dates, choices, we are probably doing the Covered Cream ride on 2 Sat. One idea was to back this up to the ride, however, since I have no heavenly idea how to schedule time, it would be crap shoot what time (day?) we might arrive

My other thoughts are either a Thurs PM (Jul 31) or Sun Aug 3.

Relas

Just got back from Riding to MarlintonWV (took the Goldwing). Left friday. checked out early and started heading home due to the impending weather coming in from the West. Went to Rela's for Lunch on Sat. A few other ADV folks there painting but pretty much done when our group pulled up. Great little place. Stopped overnight in Front Royal VA. Made it home today around noon. Never did rain! Great riding !

Island Creamery
6243 Maddox Blvd
Chincoteague Va

Donna and I rode there today and to quote her " It was worth the ride".
Had a strawberry shake and Donna had butter pecan in a waffle cone. THey really pack the cones. Doubt I could eat two scoops

Camping off Bike Ride 8 9 10 Aug

I wanted to find out if anyone is interested in an off bike camp / ride for the weekend of 8 9 & 10 August. Somewhere like the GW forest. Possibly Dunkle Hollow or more south like Coal road (South of Charlottesville VA) down to Shoe creek. Packing all camping gear on the bike and camp all rustic style on the trails.

Not sure what the weather will be like but I hope we have a cold snap.

Thoughts?? Go!

Sounds neat, but I've got TDY for work starting Monday....so Sun is transit day. That, and while I washed up the little bike finally, yet to motor around since the little "happening" at West Virginia. Catch you next time...

I'm good with any of those, and I'm OK with a flexible time on Saturday if you want it at the end of your ride.

Bummer about having to cleanup the bachelor pad. Hope it was fun while it lasted!

No need to watch a grown man grovel. I always make a huge effort to document and share GPX files. Past rides are on hot-linked on post #2 and uploaded Layin' down tracks > GPS Tracks - Northeast, Southeast & Florida . If you'll need it sooner, just drop me your preferred email in a PM and I will send it to you tonight.

Wish the Missus well for us!

Rider Up

Climbed back up on ol' Dorito tonight. First time in 3 weeks, since my little happenstance. She was quite a lady, and I enjoyed the cool, if not brisk breeze on my helmet. So, pending any horrific weather forecast, it looks like Covered Cream Part Deux will be a go!
