So, Bill... you're going to have a WR250 AND a DL650 in the stable?! That sounds like the perfect combination of bikes!

Oh, wait--that's what I've got. Thanks for validating me...

Hey MoBil, maybe I'll keep up with you on the rail bed?

I really enjoyed my Vee, 58K worth.

Wish you the best.

Haha, same here. 09 DL650 & 08 WR250R. Well I got a DR650 also.

Then my wife has a BMW F650GS, Ducati 696, and XT225. Our garage is a little full.

Thanks fellas, I had a 2007 for about 45,000 miles . As far as stable mates, the S10 was also a grea,t bike, but a bout double what I could afford, and really a lot more bike then I ever used. I am excited about the changes to the bike and can't wait to get back on it.

Post up a pic when you get her, Bill!

Oh, and I always find it's better to just drop a new bike in the parking lot of the dealership and get that nasty business over with.

The 2012 DL650 only has 5 painted pieces. Taking the front piece off is a bitch though. I had them painted for a ridiculous amount of money. Another guy paid $250 for the same work. The greywolf stickers came from decalzone.com for less than $20.

I agree. I ride for more than practicality, which is why I no longer have a wee. It got me places but didn't thrill me. My GS, my Aprilia and Guzzi get me there and entertain me at the same time.

Have to say, every time I start the bike now with the Akrapovic pipe, I think "Wow, that sounds pretty mean."

So it took three bikes to replace the Wee?

GS, Guzzi Not Found.....

There's no question European bikes have more cachet, snob appeal, whatever you want to call it. I really like my Tiger 1050 (and 50 more HP) but still enjoy the V-Strom a great deal.
