Garmin 60CSx date reset

My 60CSx has freaked out and is showing 31-OCT-31. I have updated all the software, removed the batteries to see if it would reset but no luck. I googled and can find the date reset for other models but not the 60CSx.

Pretty sure it gets that from the satellites. Have you let it find its location since you pulled the batteries?

Try a hard reset. Don't remember the key combo, but a google search should find it.

I tried a hard reset(Enter, Page, Power) and I tried webUpdater.

This is the software version that is loaded.
Software Version 4.20
GPS SW Version 2.4m
It looks like the chipset(2.4m) needs to be updated, based on some google searches. I can't figure out how to do it?

Update - All the software is current based on the chipset in the gps, 2.4m is the latest version for this gps.
The frustration continues.

As 250senuf asked, have you let it get a sat lock since the reset?

Its probably going to take a while since its so far off, so set it outside with a clear view of the sky, and forget about it for a couple hours.

Once it gets a sat lock, it will get the current date.

I put it outside for about 1.5 hours, it still showed the wrong date. I called Garmin and they had me try the same stuff I already did. They told me to send it in, I have an RMA # and will send it in when I get back from my trip to Phx AZ. I am taking it with me, so I will see if the date changes after it is outside for a handful of hours. The other problem I am having now is that it doesn't want to save my Routes?? Thank God for paper maps.
