Annular Solar Eclipse May 20 2012 Southwest USA

I'm posting this so you folks could include it in your trip plans if you live in the area or may be traveling through at the time. The eclipse is Sunday, May 20 2012, Only 2 months away. The eclipse is in the late afternoon to sunset which is good for photogrphy purposes. Many photographers and astromomers travel to exotic locations for a solar eclipse. Many of you have probably never seen one. I think the next one that is viewable from the USA is the total eclipse in 2017.

Do not stare at a solar eclipse without proper eye protection! I shouldn't need to tell you this.

Here is a NASA page with google map:

This is outside my usual stomping grounds so I don't have any good viewing locations in mind.

Its an annular eclipse instead of a total eclipse which means the moon's apparent diameter is slight less than that of the sun, so the sun does not get completely covered. Great experience and photo op nonetheless, but not nearly as spectacular as a total eclipse.
