Apart from ABS I see no need for nannytronics on this bike
When the time comes to replace my current 800 the 1050Sport is on top of my list (together with a new 800 )
Great stuff. I'm looking forward to testing it to see how it compares to my MTS12.

From what I last remember reading, this is another bike that won't be seen in the US. I think Canada might get it, but like the Versys 1000, us 'mericans won't be seeing it.

Pitty too, because they are both bikes I was interested in checking out.

Here's a video of one at a dealer in Europe:

Has anybody heard any rumors of this coming stateside in 2014? I heard that Triumph is going to release their slate of new bikes for 2014 in August-September, but I wasn't sure if that was true or conjecture.

This thread needs more pics!

Here we go:

It looks pretty cool I think. Nice update. How come we're not getting it in the States? Did the previous model not do well?

Baby Tiger 675 Please....

This 1050 Sport is a fantastic bike but too much power for me ... maybe someday Triumph will build a 675 Tiger XC and a 675 SM for people that love that wonderful Street Triple Motor...Tuned for low end torque and around 400 lbs. ...Please Triumph...Baby Tiger 675 ...Please

Just got back an email from someone on the inside. It looks like the Triumph Tiger Sport will not be coming state side.
Survey said people were not interested in it.

No interest in the USA? Yeah we need another bike that is top heavy, and built for someone 6'2" with a 34" inseam. Another pretend we are going off road some day bike. No I can't imagine anyone wants a standard, 1050 triple with a single sided swingarm and manageable maybe even comfortable ergo's and spec'd with superlative brakes and suspension. (oh man, put a belt drive on it!!!)
I would love to own a Triumph triple. Sadly I never will.
But the surveys are probably right. We are a country known for obesity and handlebars two feet higher than your head! Not sure how obesity comes into play but I feel somehow it is related.

The sport would have been the ONLY bike I would go to a dealer and plop down $MSRP.

rant off

Sorry mate - been too busy looking at used Trophys. Hate to twist the knife - but the T.Sport looks lovely close up. Nice pearlescent shimmer to the white scheme..
