Hurricane Creek Rd
This is a video my dad made of he and I riding Hurricane Creel Rd right off of I-40 on the NC/TN border. It's a bit long at 10 minutes but it has some good footage of Buzzards Roost at the end. An incredible view.
Full disclosure. We are not dirt bike specialists as you will see. We take it pretty slow and stream crossings are something new. Enjoy, Hurricane Cr Video |

You got my curiosity going so I had to go and find this place...
According to the USGS topos, the elevation at the river is 1760'+/-. My best guess as to the elevation where you were at looks to be about 2550'+/-. That ends up being 790 feet of incredible views! ![]() ![]() I think the dirt road up by the Buzzard's Roost is too far south though because if you compare it with the aerial, it should be a lot further to the north. ![]() And just for kicks, here it is from down by I-40 via Google Earth...

Don't apologize for your speed. Bike parts are expensive and functioning body parts are PRICELESS! I personally love those kinds of trails.
Great Video guys. Nite |

Loved the video!
It's great that you and your dad can share time together like that.I snuck in from the "bottom" (I-40 end of Hurricane Creek Rd) a year or two ago on my 650 and slipped down in some wet leaves not far from the spot that's at 1:30 in your video. I can't wait to ride the whole thing, probably on my 350 and in the summer when it's a little drier. Thanks for posting!
