It's a bit like Reuters, only quicker and more accurate - maybe F5reuters

There are a couple of euro forums (predominantly French) where the Dakar takes on f5-like proportions...

but most of the (anglo-merican) ADVrider-esque sympathies that prevail in here, would go over like a fart in an elevator...!

The first sign of anti-ASO/frog conspiracy theory rhetoric would have most of us here guillotined faster than a baguette on Bastille day.

Yeah but imagine if Troy SC got himself injured and we had an ADV Dakar without him??
Which would be worse?

I am sure of that TSC. However, it's the French who put on this whole damn dirty show. So let's thank them for that now, so we can feel better about flaming them later.

I heard a rumour that doyle has already cracked a hard disc or two in training, F5 mainstay flood has been told by his doctor that he needs to take it easy on the pre-event high altitude cardio work this year, or risk a serious nosebleed and yours truly has been out of action for over two weeks with Carpol tongue-hole syndrome...

And nobody has even heard from the five time consecutive title holder PackMule since eons ago...???!!!

Lots of F5aliens in here. Like the other aliens, they are impossible to keep up with!

If you read every post in the coming F5 thread, you've accomplished the equivalent of finishing the Dakar. Rookies rarely finish, but after their first year they become hooked, come back every year, and start moving up the reading ranks.

Here's a taste of what's to come. nearly all the action was DURING the race, the last 10 pages or so were scattered over the next few months.

Coma comes on at about 28:30 or so. Need a better translation then mine to make it all out though. If you do speak spanish, this is a great show.

cliff's notes: his shoulder is still giving him problems, but nothing is sure yet.

Dime tour: Marc Coma's participation is seriously doubted. Why do we say this? because the it appers the lesion in the shoulder hasn't healed like they've expected to. The fall in moroco 2 months ago produced a lesion in the shoulder and also in the axial nerve. He has alot of problems handling the pain of riding [ the handlebars]. This video is from 2 months ago in Moroco. Marc Coma told us that he would be ready just in time for Dakar then. These are the statement about a long period of rehabilitation.

"Really, a long complicated time, everybody know that injuries are a dark side of the racers life, alot of pain, well.... we add that it's a race against time, which makes it more complicated, but content. We've been working these last two months to achieve the best results. We thought we could make it, it was easy, but it hasn't been so. We've worked as hard as we can to get as close as we can.
