Ma's Hole-in-One 04/26/2005
I had to share some enthusiasm from Mom. She is 67 years young. She and Dad just got back from their Florida snow-bird stint where she had the misfortune to stumble and break her right hand. This is her first hole-in-one. Very cool Ma.
P -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- quote: Amazing! Dad & I went to Cattail Creek Golf Course this afternoon. As you know, it's our local par 3 course. First time I've been playing golf since I fractured my hand. Anyway, on hole #6 I hit a hole-in-one! Couldn't believe that it really happened but it did! It played 120 yards from the red tees; I was using my driver. The fairway curves around. My ball landed part way to the green and kept rolling and rolling and rolling! I was thinking it certainly is going to be close to the hole never dreaming it would go in. Pretty exciting! Hope you all are having a good day. With love, Mom

my mother picked up golf again
after exactly the same number of years old i am.
i always new my folks used to play. never saw them buying a house near the course though. good one for your mom. my mother is happy to have aerostich on board her golf cart. i got a garage door opener and a motofizz clock/thermometer. now go break a hundred

Then I headed over to where my girlfriend works. Greg, the boss, followed us outside and kept trying to tell me about how he went to Las Vegas one time on a motocycle. I was like, "oh-kay, that's great Greg." Just back from Prudhoe Bay, IMO it was really worth the trip, AK is a beautiful place & you need lots of time to take it all in. I'm looking forward to returning & exploring some places i didn't have time to ride.RIP Ron Melton |
