Well what is it they say about best laid plans?
So we devised a plan to go get some Pizza! Got Rory(ruralgold) and joe(5punksdad) to agree to meet at 1:30 at Rudys(Pizza Parlor). Met Joe and rode over the hill on 522 to Hittles Mill Rd., Deering Rd., Fodderstack Rd., Harris Hollow Rd., Pulliins Bluff Rd., Keyser Run Rd., Gid Brown Hollow Rd., Rt 211, Water St., and Rt 522 to the tag. You know, the scenic route!

Rory had just pulled up so I was watching Joe take the pic(above) and Rory. We pulled in the parking lot and started shooting the breeze and along comes Dave(Dentvet)! I'd seen him post earlier and hoped he would make an appearance.

After a few minutes Dave says, "so the pizza place is closed huh." What? I hadn't even noticed.

We didn't want to wait until 3PM so I decided to remedy the situation. I'll just buy another six pack of Dogfish Head. Problem solved!

Now what? We got the tag but are still hungry. Hmmm, BBQ sounds good, so BBQ it was!
New tag!

Unfortunately no pics of the BBQ as we didn't think about it until it was gone. Luckily it isn't required by the tagger, just the person grabbing the tag and besides, I hadn't decided to place Butch there until we were done. I took Butch in to meet the Hostess and told her of our little tag game. Like all the others we have told about the game she really liked the idea!
I asked her if she would pose with Butch and she graciously accepted...

I have no excuse as to why I didn't ask her name.

That was rude of me.
The owner rides and came out of the kitchen to talk. He was handed the duck and said "what the hell is this!"

After I explained the game to him he thought it was pretty cool too! I told him, "If nothing else you will make another sale from the duck being here." I gave him the web address for ADV. Maybe he'll join and get on here.

I did ask him his name but have forgotten it. John? Damn.

He has enough folks on here who like his restaurant.
There have been other small impromptu ADV gatherings here in the past and most likely may more to come.
So when you go to order some BBQ at the counter ask whoever is working for the duck on the table behind the counter. He'll be eagerly waiting...

I remembered to get a shot of their hours of operation this time.

Obligatory bike(s) shot...

And a clue as to where this place is...

good choice on the BBQ........the pulled pork sammy was off the hook (yummy)........

I am off to bed...........gotta get rolling early in the am to the smib ride at the H14 compound.

I ate at the old salem restaurant today (previous tag to eat location) while out grabbing the nova tag. Good food.......had to peel the skin off the waitress to get her to smile but she warmed up after awhile....................this game is paying off for someone........not me, I am going broke!

So...took the opportunity to play this street cycle tag game and got to blow the carbon out of the old land yacht..

I've eaten BBQ there many times...sooo...tried the oyster po-boy! Yummy!

And...her Name is Kathy (she wrote it on the paper but you can't see it...) NOT Jaime or Jamie or any such derivation. She was indignant when I told her you guys called her jaime

New tag tomorrow...the place I was going to tag was closed by the time I got there...

She was fine. Apparently someone by that name did work there at one time...

It was funny...I walked in and said in my best John Wayne voice... "I'm here for that duck (pointing), and an oyster sammich" and she started giggling and the owner was laughing and he said "it just got here yesterday...that was quick"!

FYI, the place doesn't have to be open to set the tag. Just need to know the hours of operation.
