Need an instrument housing for a post 1980 airhead.

And don't want to spend $250 dollars for one.

Just the housing, nothing else.

Anyone have one or know of a good place to buy one?

Can't imagine what our bikes would cost if you bought them by the piece...

There's always the Acewell option. My '79 instruments are fine but I'm still considering heading that way.

Watch out for auctions of high demand items. They can go high. I use a sniping service for stuff I really don't want to loose. If you need a sniping service write me a PM I'll give you the web page for a good one and it's free. If you don't know about using a sniping service I'll try to explain it. It saves money.

Very nice....but pre 1980.

For now I am going to wire up a charging resistor or light bulb and a bike speedo. Then I think I am going acewell.

Bikes all modded anyways so not concerned about originality.

I got a very nice one, complete, for about $150 on ebay.
Replaced a very badly broken up one for one that's intact and unfaded, plus upgraded the 1982 85 mph speedometer to a 140 mph unit.

It's a shame about all the sharks on ebay who part out complete bikes because they're worth more as parts. But for those of us who are trying to keep our working bikes running or upgrade them, ebay is the place to go for good parts, cheap.
