Roller gear bag suggestions?
We need new luggage.
My wife and I travel a bit, and our current suitcase (we usually share one to save on the bag fees) is 30 pounds empty. We love how big it is, and we usually can pack for our 3-day adventures without too much issue, but it's so heavy it limits what we can take with us.
We need a new gear bag, and what we want is:
1. has to be TSA/flight compliant as far as its dimensions
2. roller bag w/ retractable handle
3. Frikkin' huge. Lots of space, the bigger the better (up to the max limit allowed to fly, that is).
4. Light weight, like say 15-17 lbs max dry weight.
Let's not dwell on price right now... I'll pretty much pay for what works (within reason).
What's out there? What do you have that you use and love? I see the Ogio 9800 bag, that's looking like a strong candidate. Is it crap? Is there a better option for us?
Where should we be looking for bags like this? Where should we ultimately purchase the bag (if not the same place)?
We need this at least before Memorial Day weekend, our first flight this year. We'll also use it at least twice more this year, maybe three more times, then 3-4 times a year after that, all trips via airplane.
k thx bye!

Have a look at dive gear bags (scuba diving gear) and motocross gear bags.
