Bagster out of France makes tank covers, and set them up so their tank bags climp onto them... nice stuff

I have one of those. The seam along the top leaves a mark on the tank. Strap front to back...very fiddly. Fit only just ok otherwise.

A few years back, I had a bunch made at a local auto upholsterer. Sold some to friends for cost and the others via ebay for $90-100. They were better than the Motobins ones. Upholsterer decided they were too much work for not enough return eventually.

Point being, you could do that to. They'd need a tank for measurements, lose the quilting, careful flatening of the seams to avoid rubbing on the tank, keep it plain, think hard about the fasteners/straps...velcro v buckles v clips. Plastic buckles of course, one loop at the steering head, one loop behind the taps, but not over the air intakes...

Anyone know how much for a Bagster locally to you?

Here in Oz, they're $295, and need to be ordered, made, posted. Weeks.

$209 here, and I talked to the importer yesterday for a one month turnaround.

Mustang had it DOWN. The cover wrapped the tank completely, and the side pockets were awfully handy. We thought about reproducing them but couldn't make the numbers work when compared to Bagster (even though their full cover clips the edge of the tank, from what I'm told).
