Ah thanks for the WRTA entry list. Wow! I didn't know this format was so popular in UK. 200 entrants, that's good. And Pyn is starting #1 this time!...

Anyone taking a big bike through the Beacons is a hero, but yes if you hear a bellowing 450 behind you bouncing off the limiter we know who that might be!

Good Luck with the healing process, I'm sure you'll do just fine.
I have a friend who's bike landed on his foot 1 month prior to his first Iron Man Race. Had a metatarsal fracture also (albeit only one break and not the fifth one)... He stopped for 1 week and then continued training and he finished his Iron Man... Motorcycle boots give a lot more stability than running sneakers, so I'm sure you'll be in top shape soon enough.

If it's any consolation Sam Sunderland did 4 in a training accident in Feb, he was not quite right for the DC some 8 weeks later, but was running after 12 and rode in Sardinia after 4 months without any issues - and that wast after riding in the DC where he seriously aggrevated (broke it) again!

Now, he didn't listen too well to the Doc, so do as you are told and am sure you will be ok - good luck and quick healing. It hurts the mind and is frustrating, but don't push it and you will be ok
