He's on the entry list, and in a somewhat more favourable start position compared to the Ryedale...

I'm #142, so I'll be saved the embarrassment of having Pyndon overtake me on every lap

Ah thanks for the WRTA entry list. Wow! I didn't know this format was so popular in UK. 200 entrants, that's good. And Pyn is starting #1 this time!...

Anyone taking a big bike through the Beacons is a hero, but yes if you hear a bellowing 450 behind you bouncing off the limiter we know who that might be!

Update from Lyndon....

Hi folks, it's been a while so I've updated my blog with what I've been up to.

There's info on there about the recent Beacons Rally, some onboard video footage and also a chance to get your hands on a KTM coffee machine.

Please check it out on my web-site here.....

LINK TO UPDATE

131 days to stage 1 of Dakar 2013 and a lot to do before then!

Lyndon

A nice bit of video, thanks for posting; some of those sections look a bit gnarly.

I was hoping to see where you bought it, though.

Was that from the first day?

Stoooopid!

But hey, didn't Neduro do the same thing last year? And then there was Jenny's broken foot.
Heal quickly, then get on a bicycle and build up those muscles again!

Good Luck with the healing process, I'm sure you'll do just fine.
I have a friend who's bike landed on his foot 1 month prior to his first Iron Man Race. Had a metatarsal fracture also (albeit only one break and not the fifth one)... He stopped for 1 week and then continued training and he finished his Iron Man... Motorcycle boots give a lot more stability than running sneakers, so I'm sure you'll be in top shape soon enough.
Buena suerte!

If it's any consolation Sam Sunderland did 4 in a training accident in Feb, he was not quite right for the DC some 8 weeks later, but was running after 12 and rode in Sardinia after 4 months without any issues - and that wast after riding in the DC where he seriously aggrevated (broke it) again!

Now, he didn't listen too well to the Doc, so do as you are told and am sure you will be ok - good luck and quick healing. It hurts the mind and is frustrating, but don't push it and you will be ok
