He seems to be pacing in the 30's. That is a whole new group of riders. If he can stay with them and not suffer many miscues, he'll have a whopping Dakar.

There is still a lot of attrition to come...

Top 40 is still fantastic though eh? I'm sure I remember Neduro saying that he thought the terrain and riding in the second part of the race would suit Pyndon's riding style even more than the first week (based on his experience last year). Steady away Lyndon.

But this doesn't mean he's 18th of the day, does it?
I assume not everyone has finished yet?

Correct. He started ninth on the road, finished 18th. Likely to be a Top-40 finish once everyone's done (currently 32nd after 37 finishers).

A picture is worth a thousand words they say. That picture says it all really (as do all the other photos of Pyndon with a big smile on his face taken over the last week or so). Brilliant.

I think Ned was right: These stages were ones he was gonna love.

I've only just had the chance to catch yesterday's Rally Raidio - good work again PM!

Keep it up Pyn - you're doing a cracking job and I think, having had the chance to have a brief look ont t'interweb you realise that we're enjoying this as much as you are! The interviews with PM and the voice messages really do make us all feel part of it!

Looks like 37th today and mid 40's overall so far. I think a lot more come back to him. After all, how many of his peers insist on mounting their own wheels!
