I don't think it's holed, it's dry all over, no staining, and table below is dry.

Thinking it through, the damage to the tank is not bad. As has been suggested he may well have fallen on one of those horrible slimy concrete based stream crossings so not a high speed fall. If he had hurt himself I think he would have said so ! And with that in mind I am off to sleep ! Will probably hear more in the morning if Pyn calls in to RallyRAIDio.

His finish time suggests it couldn't have been to serious... though for a man that tends to have the shiniest bike it does look a wee bit dirty in that second photo. Hopefully everything will be up and running in top form by tomorrow morning. Good luck tomorrow and keep up the great riding!

Lyndon's Stage 10 call
No way to dance around it, Stage 10 was a tough day on the job for Lyndon. Things came unglued in a high speed corner resulting in a high side that banged up both bike and rider alike. Tomorrow is the famed (and oft dreaded) Fiambala stage, so hopefully they'll both be fully recovered. Rest up, Lyndon. We look forward to a happier call tomorrow!
![]() ![]() Direct download: http://traffic.libsyn.com/rallyraidio/13D14.mp3 --------------------------------------------- Public Radio fundraising notice: (Thanks to those who have already chipped in!) Last year, through the generosity of the listeners, we were able to cover the cost of Neduro's phone bill for the communication costs to RallyRAIDio and ADVRider throughout the Dakar. If you've enjoyed Lyndon's call ins and interviews on this edition, consider chipping in a few $$, € €, or ££ toward the cause. Many hands make light work, and based on our experience with Ned last year, the tab will run handily into 4-digit territory (sans decimals). It would be wonderful if we could take this burden off of Lyndon's shoulders. To be clear, Lyndon has not asked for this, and there is no expectation on my part or his that any part of the phone bills be defrayed (indeed, I suspect that he will not know that I've solicited donations until after the event is over). For those so inclined, RallyRAIDio @ g mail . com (no spaces) is the RallyRAIDio email addy to which paypal can be sent. Thanks for your support.

60mph highside will make your day interesting.
Good to hear he's okay, and the bike fixable. Don't think Pyndad is gonna get much sleep tonight, though. 4 more stages, Lyndon.

stayed up again to listen to the RR calls.
We're all with you every step of the way mate. Andrew has been recalling his memories of that stage (from 2010) in the office today. The crash sounded scary and we hope you aren't any worse than you said. We knew from the start you were meant to do this and its awesome to watch you romp through each day in such impressive fashion. Stay strong and keep it Pyn'd!

So great that Lyndon takes the time to call in even when hurtin'.
Sorry to hear Pyn and bike got a bit beat up today, but very glad to hear he's still in the game and bike still in decent shape. Hope he can ice those injuries if possible, or has some good anti-inflamatory meds! RallyRAIDio donation sent. Thanks for the work on our side Nate GO PYN!!
