DC/MD/NOVA Dirt Sunday May 1

Scorch and I are doing dirt. We're batting ideas back and forth. I need to be home and showered by 6:30pm, otherwise, I'm good. We're talking about Tower City (far), someplace near Dulles, maybe The Farm, Laurel Pits, whatever. If you have some close, legal suggestions for a trail/track or trail only place. Please chime in. We're meeting in Burtonsville, MD 9:30am to trailer from there. More details here later.

About legal trails that are "close". If you find some, let the rest of us know where they are. Getting arrested not on the short list of fun things to do.

My plans for Sunday are to show a gravel/dirt n00b some easy routes most of you have rode before. If you want to tag along or need a jumping off point for your d/s bikes on trailers, Taskers/Peters Mill is just a short ride through Fort Valley. Nothing is firm yet but usually a 9:30-10:00 meeting and departure time has worked well for most riders in the area. Sound good?

I may come out tomorrow. I need to move a couch sometime this weekend, so it depends on if I get it done today or not.

Scorch and I are going to Laurel Pits Sunday. It's not legal, but for me at least, worth the risk. Meet at 10:30am behind Bozzuto Landscaping.
5601 Van Dusen Rd Laurel, MD 20707

Post here if you intend to come.

Not sure if I'll make it to Keith's, I can't get the bead broken, don't have time to go into town (to our shop) to pick up a C-clamp, have to play a gig in NoVA tonight ...

... and am wondering if I should instead bring the GS (a handful off-road for me) on tomorrow's ride with Keith.

The GS should be fine. The noob cancelled on me but I am still going to ride. We could do some exploring or go to a destination...suggestions or an alternative meeting location, whatever, I am all ears. I'm still riding tomorrow.
