Wait, that was't me! It was some guy in Bratislava. All likenesses are purely coincidental. What an idiot that guy is.

Ha ha, Mr T has attended more of my campouts that just about anyone, not that I'm keeping score. It's pretty funny too if you know him because I don't think he's really into camping all that much.

I'll probably start a new thread today for the upcoming campout. As usual, I'll send out a text message to the people that I have on my ADV mailing list. If you haven't been getting my announcements in the past, and you would like to be on the list, send me a PM with your real name and phone number and I'll add you to the group.

2013 will be a little different because I'll be doing a new thread for each campout, so you'll want to know when a new thread/campout is posted. This will make sure all the pertinent details are in the first post of the thread.

This week's forecast looks pretty bleak, but camping season is coming up fast. We've had a lot of great events in 2012 and I'm really excited about the upcoming season.

Berkshire Big Bike Ride
New England Classic Charity Ride
Rednek Rendezvous
Enduro School
Pachaug Rock Ride
Somers Fun

These were all great events last year, and this year should be even better. See you in the mud very soon!

Not into camping all that much?? I went camping for the first time when I was 6 weeks old, Mt Whitney in the Sierra Nevadas.. that was my last avatar as a matter of fact. I guess at this point in my life I am not into camping for just camping sake. I need to have a reason to camp, like riding, or fishing, etc, but a really beautiful place will get me out there as well. I expect to do a ton of camping out in CO, off the Husaberg and longer trips on the GSA. I hope to get 3 or 4 camping trips in back here before I depart out west during the last week of July. Most of my camping gear is lightweight backpacking gear.. I suppose I should look into a nice cot for this car camping stuff I keep doing. I can honestly say that for the first time I will actually miss the folks I have gotten to know out here on the right coast.

I don't have enough time to search for new threads. Consider keeping with the current/past method of one thread per year so I can subscribe and just use my usercp to find the pertinent thread?

Maybe you get bored of the views, laid back style, and healthy happy people and want to come back to joys of living in this area... longer winters, higher taxes, bad drivers, etc....

I posted this yesterday in the BBDoR thread...might be some interest here?

Need a camping fix?

me and the cheesebot will be camping at Shawme-Crowell State Forest in Sandwich, MA for Easter (Thursday - Sunday). There's great (legal) sand riding on the other side of the bridge. Pete the ranger is very cool with the bikes.

We're not planning anything but feel free to join us. The campground has yurts available (we're tenting it), running water, heated bathroom with free hot water showers.
