The cost of fuel

I was just curious about the cost of fuel worldwide, as yesterday it cost me 20 ($32) to fill my R80ST, although I do have the larger GS tank fitted, and I wasn't on reserve, but low.

A litre of 95 octane ULP costs about $1.60 in Australia.

That's about 1 per litre. The current exchange rate means the Aussie dollar is about the same as a US dollar.

Here in the southeast USA, we're pushing $4.00 US per gallon for Regular. It's expected to get worse, and it's been higher. So I'm nearing $15 per fill-up on a Toaster tank.

C'est la vie nowadays.

$4.02US a gallon for mid-grade (local station does Premium for the price of Mid-Grade on Fridays). I always fill up on Friday as a result.

$55US to fill up my Audi TT Quattro. Das Beast, my R100RS mongrel would cost about the same with the 44 liter tank.

Thanks Bill, I don't ften search through the rest of the site, as Old School is a big enough time bandit as it is, without getting distracted in the other forums

Right now regular is going for $1.32 litre around here in Southern Ontario, Canada which rounds out to $5.00 a US gallon. I filled my GSPD tank with regular last year and was able to squeeze in $45 .

Heading on a trip to France in May, these European trips remind me that $1.32 a litre might not be that bad after all.

Yes, and it's nice to know that there is at least one place in the world where petrol is even more expensive than down here....

Its about 1.80US a litre here in NZ, 60 cents of that is tax.Fortunately NZ is pretty compact
Costs my wife about $80 a week just to run to work ( 20 minute trip) and back....Subarus have very suckymoto...
I offset that by running my $300 scooter at 30kms to the litre
Still must be affordable as most cars only have one occupant.......

Yesterday I did a loop around (and well outside of ) the Orlando, FL area. Most prices I noted were right at the national average of $3.89 USD per gallon for Regular, which is 87 RON/MON Octane here, but the equivalent of about 91 ROZ or 82.5 MOZ by Euro standards. I had to top up at one station where that grade was $4.05 per gallon. I did see a few stations at $3.87 USD per gallon.

Keep in mind that a US gallon is smaller than a UK gallon;

1 US gallon = 3.7854 Liters
1 UK gallon = 4.5609 Liters

Just a heads up for comparisons with Europe and Canada.
