Yes the bugs in the jungle can be unnerving at times. The 8 inch poisonous centipedes are what give me the shivers, though the Tarantulas, poisonous snakes, and Dengue fever carrying mosquitoes can keep you on your toes as well. As Droptrotter noticed it's why I choose to hang in a hammock most times though when packing light its just a bivy sack.
Got your PM - I'll drop you a line as soon as I can.

In the meantime, stay safe from those centipedes!

Got my US-30 today. Will be flying Monday to pick-up my new bike then heading out from the dealer on a 1300 mile trip. Pictures soon.

Sweet! Extra bonus points for the sticker too!

Any chance of some wide shots showing more of the bike?

Cheers,

Michael

P.S. Nothing wrong with that set-up, but - just so you know - you can also mount the US-30 across the bike (as opposed to in-line with it), if you want to free up any more space on the passenger seat.

US30combo in action at Crater Lake. LOVE these bags. Had a bunch of rain and knowing everything is 100% dry is nice and the alloy hooked tiedowns work great!

Very nice shot! How are the straps attached to the bike?

There are loops that come with the bag that go around the subframe. Then the aluminum hooks attached to them. I have the same set up on my T100.

Nice!

Darn - I miss my Scram'.

BTW: you can also attach the Alloy Hooks from the US-10 to the web loops on the base of the US-20 (which are also used to secure the US-20's loose hooks when the bag is removed from the bike), if you prefer. This is just as secure and makes it easier to remove the entire combo as a single 'block'.

Cheers,

Michael

Found out today why the frame loops have little white dots on them. It's so you don't hook into the loops on the bag. Found that out the hard way today. Got to a gas station and found the bag all cockeyed hanging off the back. Three straps were securely attached to the frame loops while the fourth was securely attached to the loop on the bag!

Yep! That's also why we switched the subframe loops to reflective silver for a while. But folks decided they looked 'beige' and freaked out, so we came up with the dot idea instead.

Glad yours stayed put with the three hooks attached - they generally do.

Cheers,

Michael

Bye the way, I shot some pictures of the side profile that I'll email you. That bag is a great piece of kit!

I thought the dots were so you could see the straps easier. But I guess they would differentiate them from the loops on the bag too.

None of my straps have dots.......the only thing I have with dots is my backpacks.
