Flat repair sounds like a DIY on an Easter Sunday. Good luck and be safe on your trip.

Got home about an hour ago. That was a fun ride. I accomplished a lot of personal bests. Longest solo ride (1356 miles). Longest single day (860 miles). Longest sitting (276 miles).

Bikes are getting acquainted.

I dig this ST!

I have a fun story to share. Kind of a Zen moment. I'll write it up tomorrow.

Fun story: right after I took the photo in Cleveland I noticed a red fluid on the left side of the engine. Is that coolant? I checked the reservoir and it looked like the was a dark fluid near the low level. So I planned to stop and add fluid at the next stop. As I was riding I also noticed the bike was feeling a little squirrley. I attributed it mostly to the heavy winds but had a bad feeling. So at the next service area I pulled the side cover and saw that the coolant level was fine. And green. What is that red fluid?

As I was pondering the mystery fluid I did a perimeter check of the bike. That's when I noticed that my rear tire was very low. I added air and sure enough there was a puncture. I wish I had brought my puncture kit.

After backtracking 20 miles to an auto parts store for a puncture kit I found a shop with a free air pump and i proceeded to successfully plug the leak. For whatever reason during this process I looked in the left fairing storage bin and found my fluid source - a leaking Gatorade container. Ha!

Zen moment: Don't jump to conclusions with limited information. I do that too much in life. Slow down and think.

And someone is watching over me cause if that container hadn't been leaking I might have not noticed the low rear tire as soon as i did.
