And all this time I was just joking, having some fun with the ZA, and the tv show Walking Dead.
It also messes up my plan of heading North. I figured they would freeze when the temp is below 32. Now it seems the CDC thinks it will start up North...

The CDC is going to be wrong. Read the book "Xombie" and know there's no place you can go. The real ZA happens when the disease is airborne. Good luck. :)

I was just driving around today thinking about nonsense (its ok, I am a professional driver, do not try this yourself) came up with an idea about getting rid of all the rats in NYC. Train a small group, about 1000 or so, of zombies (come on...you know they are already here) to eat rats. Close off the streets at 9PM till 3AM and let the zombies out and they will eat the rats. At 3AM, we play the song they have been trained to respond to and round them back up till the next night. I bet they could eat 100 rats each, every night. 1000x100=100,000 a night is a good start. if the program is successful, meaning civilian population "incidents" is below about 5%, we can expand it to different crews for each borough! "incidents....well, you know some people are going to try to mess with the zombies and a certain percentage of those people will not make it home again...but hey, no plan is perfect.

With in a year we (I) would have solved the rat problem in big cities! If it fails and we now have a Zombie infestation, I will just delete this post.
