Jimmy Lewis clinic, March 2012 - in film + digital
Buddy of mine picked up a KTM 690 and promptly (wisely) signed up for a Jimmy Lewis school to learn how to properly fly the thing. I went along for a day with a couple cameras.
If only all classrooms were this enjoyable...   Jimmy teaching by example.     Up next ... the follow up big-bike ride through Death Valley with Jimmy & Casey McCoy.

Also carried a pack full of film and a wide-format rangefinder.
Fomapan and Ilford HP5 here.   Jimmy sketching out the lesson in the earth:    John trying out the 690 in the practice dunes:  One of the quirkier spots along the route used for the "ride day" portion of the class.

I took one of Jimmy's classes and was thrilled - they ought to be mandatory for anyone interested in big ADV bikes who doesn't have dirt bike experience, although there is definitely a lot to learn for riders of all levels. Highly recommended ... |
