Thank you Aaron and Robbie for the order!

Hope to meet some of you at the Death Valley Noob Rally at the end of March.

Now start getting your bike ready for spring riding

Kinda pricey for an oil that shears out of grade after only 1k miles, no?

Don't read too much into just one sample. I notice nice smooth shifting with the Royal Monarch. So much so I bought another case.

Giving the 15w50 a try in my Super Tenere. I'm at 30k miles and still searching for an oil that will shift nice for a full oil change interval.

Failures so far:
Yamalube 10w40
Yamalube Synthetic Blend 10w50
Shell Rotella 15w40
Shell Rotella T6 5w40
Mobil 1 15w50

I hope this Monarch fits the bill...the buy-in was 3 oil changes worth!

Hi and thanks for the order. I hope this does the trick for you, I know it helped some DR650's out there with shifting issues - I expect the 1400 ppm ZDDP should help. All I can say is that this lube is used in many a Ducati's rolling out of dealerships. Let us know!

Any update on 1 gallon containers of oil? I checked out your site and store and noticed that the only option for 10W-40 and 15W-50 is quart size containers by the case.

Looking forward to do an oil change before the Las Vegas HEAT takes effect in a month. Currently running a 96' DR650 with Golden Spectro 10W-40 from the original owner, but I want to give your company's oil a try! (maybe 15W-50?? or shall I stick with the 10W-40?)

Thanks for the great oil thread and education, Bern

Hi Snoobar, thanks for considering this product.

1. Gallon containers - This would be a (4) Gallon case. Could you let me know why you would prefer the Gallon jugs? I am getting the factory to do some test runs on addresses to establish cost. In addition the big factor with shipping oil is that it is HEAVY so shipping is a factor and we have to double box it - because the UPS guy likes to make heavy things roll off his truck.

2. I would run the 15W50 in the heat if it was my bike and you ride it hard.

I just passed through Las Vegas a few weeks back going to the Death Valley Noob rally - looks like some good riding around there!!

Later!

B

Bern,

Is this normal from UPS?

"Shipment is held to verify commodity description with the customer for correct classification. / Delivery will be rescheduled."

Geesh no - This is normal for international shipments! Maybe because it passed through some "port of entry" in NJ and was subject to scrutiny. It would have shipped from either Schertz, TX or Tulsa, OK ... USA!

If you track your shipment it does show now on the top left "Clearance Completed - This shipment has cleared customs" so you should get it tomorrow. I will get a text if there is another problem ok.

Ive been looking for an oil I can run year round, I ride from 15-100 degrees, running 20w50 makes the bike hard to start in the cold months, and the 5w40 rotella T6 that is in there right now probably wont be kind to the bike in the coming months.

is the gallon jug packaging sorted out yet?

and would you recommend the full sythetic 15w50 for a 100,000+ mile BMW r1100gs, that gets ridden daily and often sees the rev limiter?

I think the 15W50 will be perfect for your "mature" GS. Point me to a pic of your bike, I love those and hope to have one someday. Sees the rev limiter - yeah!

We are waiting to sort out the packaging and shipping logistics is the pain. I am not sure if people really want to be that much $ out of pocket. Either way we should have it figured in the next day or so. I have to test shipping costs to many addresses.

You know, after consideration, there is probably not a good reason to buy in gallon jugs, unless it would be cheaper, but it does not sound like it would be given the shipping.

I'm thinking the same thing now. I was under the same impression, but Like Bern said, the weight of these gallon jugs through off the cost savings....

Ordered!

Just ordered a case of 15W-50.

I've never been so excited to do an oil change, but this should be a good experience!!
