Thanks Tessitori, we enjoyed every minute of it. I look most forward to seeing your Lost Coast again. From there to the north end of the Oregon was our favorite part.

I am trying to convince my wife to take a 3 days ride up highway 1 from San Francisco to the Oregon coast and then come back inland ... I hope she's game or I will do it solo!
Have a great week-end!

You are talking about the most beautiful places that we've ever seen. Tell her how lucky you both are to be so close to it. We met people from all over the world that came to see and ride the area. DO IT!

You oughtta have Patrick do a bit of paintwork as a memento of the trip.
![]() I'd recommend the stretch from the Evergreen Museum to the Avenue of the Giants.

Thanks for the report.
I've been thinking for more than a few years about a Ural. If I sell most of my other bikes I could possible come up with the $$ to swing the deal and not screw with financing the bike. That is a story for another day ... Again, thanks. You need to fill in Louisiana and the bigger majority of Texas someday.

Thanks folks. It almost pains me to see this thread brought back from last spring. It's six degrees here this morning. I wish I could go back and do it all over right now.

We were out on the Blue Ridge Parkway last Winter looking for enough snow to ski in but ended up walking instead. We heard some noise and looked around to see these folks enjoying the heck out of themselves:
![]() ![]() They were two older couples (nearing 70, they said) just out for the day seeing what they could see. All had knobbies on the drive wheels and said they had no issues at all with the six inches of wet snow. The BRP was closed but they had snuck up some fire road and gotten on it for a bit of touring. It was about 25 degrees out and they said they weren't going fast enough to get cold because of the snow. We saw them at about 3:00PM and they'd been riding since about 9:00AM, how cool is that? I hope to still be out fooling around like that when I'm that age (not long to go ).Cool rides, great ride report. Doug
