The 2014 Pucky Huddle Breakfast Run (MO)

September 20th and 21st, 2014

BEFORE

AFTER

Yes the place burned to the ground after the event, but I ain't changing the name, think of it as a memorial ride now. And there is a Huddle House next to the motel in Ste. Gen. where we can have breakfast, that's the best I can do.
Here’s the rundown. It’s 200 plus miles per day for 2 days. For those that didn't make it to last years, the course is as much gravel as I could find. It's all KLR and GS friendly. Some creek crossings and some lesser traveled, poorly maintained roads also. And some optional bonus “Big Boy” not big bike sections.
Starts and ends this year at the Midwest Trail Rider Association's (MTRA) club grounds near Bixby, MO. You can camp at the club grounds Friday night and Sunday night, they have flush toilets and a shower, water and an RV dump station. Safe parking for trucks and trailers and over 600 acres. They charge $10 for non-members and $5 for members so join up! http://www.ridemtra.com/index.htm There is a motel 7 miles away in Viburnum also. Saturday night we will end up at Ste. Genevieve, MO. For those camping, there is the Magnolia Hollow Conservation Area, right off the course at White Sands RD. There is the Microtel Inn & Suites that most use but there are lots of other motels nearby too.

We'll run almost the same course this year, I post up the tracks after some possible improvements. The same direction but starting at Bixby, so Saturday's route will be Sunday and vice versa.

BTW if you need something to do in August, I'm putting on this: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=973237

Ok I've started a sign-up post, with the names of those that said they were in.

Sigie has gotten the motel deal worked out, but is seems that they have another big block held for someone else too. So rooms may be in short supply, book soon if you are needing a room.
Here's the info: Linda has a block of rooms held for Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Microtel Inn & Suites, 21958 Highway 32, St. Genevieve, MO 63670 (573-883-8884). Same place as last year. Tell them you're with the Pucky Huddle ride for a rate of $71.95 for a room with 2 beds. (The regular rate is $80.10.) If they are full, you could get a room nearby at the Triangle Inn (573-883-7191) for $49.00 BUT THESE ROOMS ARE NOT AS NICE as the Microtel Inn.

BigDog will be there.

BigDog is IN as they say.
Thanks again Sieg----love the idea of camping at the MTRA property.
So close to good food in Bixby.
I was just in the store 3 days ago giving Bridgette a hard time---but be careful as she'll give it back
I'll probably come down Thursday if that's alright and set up camp.
I'll shed a tear when I ride by the Pucky Huddle store

If your bike weighs more than 400lbs. You might not make it.

Naaaaa the 990 remained upright the whole time .

Was on my kaydee m 300 over easter and went through a wash a little off and launched me for a good flight. Landed head first, and the neck brace saved this pencil necked geek, but took out my collarbone in spectacular fashion. Ortho surgeon worked his magic and got everything all back together like it was originally with the addition of some hardware about a month ago, and just gave me the clearance to start street riding again.

In Remembrance of the Pucky Huddle Store

Here's a video of a scouting ride of sorts before the first pucky huddle ride.
It goes to a few places not on the route.
By the way Bill Asher (Bash3r) made this video.

But for people that never got to the pucky huddle store---there's some good video of it and the owner.
Who knows---it may be the only video of it.

And after watching it---you might realize I'm sort of "full of shit"

Select 720p and HD if you like.
