^ That's a tricky one. Pretty unfamiliar with that area.

Burg, this is a great reason to come explore some dirt roads down here.

Here are some more hints;
This is a radio navigation station called a Locator Outer Marker.
The v shaped antenna is a Fan Marker, and the red and white telephone pole is basically an AM radio station called a non directional beacon.
Many of these are being decomissioned by the govt.

This is the Final Approach Fix for landing northeast and approach into willow run. So exactly 5 miles southwest from the end of the runway, on centerline. It continuously broadcasts in Morse code the letters Y I on Am359 and is also known as YIPPS intersetion. Im sure the lat long for yipps is published somewhere on the internet.

It just cracks me up that a leaning in Mud,faded telephone pole is considered an accurate navigation device.

Is this off of Merritt rd. ??
If so, I just rode by it and didn't see it.

Actually, I think I know why I didn't see it.
I just realized it is on a road that starts with the letter B.
Is that right?

Gas guy! You are correct!
But im glad you were thrown for a little bit of a loop. You got to.see a tiny segment of Merrit road dirt, which contains wiards orchard.

Enter from the 'B' road not the 'H' road

Yeah, I rode every dirt road down there, even past your first tag on Macy road.
Maybe tonight I can get back down there.

Okay, here is the new spot !!!

This is down a two track off of what I believe is the BEST dirt/gravel road in Washtenaw county, CASSIDY ROAD.

This spot is especially memorable to me because if you look in front of my bike you will see the two track continues back into the woods and continues for a mile or two, but it is off limits to vehicles.
Well, one rainy spring day years ago, my 2 riding buddies and I rode our Klrs back there and when we came back the Dnr was waiting for us, and gave us all tickets.

Some more pictures will follow.

Make sure you ride the entire CASSIDY ROAD !! Its the best !!

I'm trying to give some of you other riders a chance at this one.
C'mon, slip on the raingear, stand on the pegs and get this tag!

This road will be FANTASTIC in the rain! Flattrack turns anyone?
