Rub the vaseline on the tampon and you have a very effective fire starter and it waterproofs them.

Rub the Vaseline on the cat and they also burn better...

Now Miss Jane , that's why women carry to much gear in their saddle bags A match will light your fire, get used as a tooth pick, and get big clumps of dusty wax from your ears. You can't do that with a lighter, unless your into party tricks.

I have been hanging around this site for a few years now and still really inexperianced, alot of you know me know me now as the dick that rides the shitbox KLX650, I have never been to Birdsville or the flinders or over the Simpson, but I do enjoy going on some of the closer rides to home due to time work and money. I have been a mechanic for 25 years now and most people agree that I overload my bike to the max. I like to be self sufficiant that why there is a 12 litre alloy fuel tank on my back gaurd and a 10 litre alloy under frame water tank. There is a reason that I bought Junior a KLX to come riding with me and that is the spares and knowledge I have gained by working on them. On a big trip away between both bikes I carry enough shit to rebuild an engine on the side of the road.
Spare head gasket, I know I can pull the rear axle out and use that thread to pop of the flywheel if the crank has to come out, spare coil, CDI, carbie slide with the vacuum diapham and a laminated copy of the bikes wiring schematic. So why update to a late model bike that I know nothing about. On the Thumpers KLX thread I am well known for being the only one known to convert a KLX650R to electric start. Shut up Lentil Yes the bitch didnt start at bendemeer cause it was F#@kin cold, but either did a fuel injected XT660.
One of my biggest rewards for ADV riding yet was taking my son Aaron to Poon last year while still 16 years old riding his own 650.
Goal to work towards, in a few years I want to run 4 KLX650's up to Cape york with my 3 sons. yeehaw

Still proud to have an ADV sticker on the back gaurd and be called a NOOB.

Cheers Fogo.

Good on ya Fogo. You have a unique passion. Some many never understand. Personally I think you have done a good job on the old green beastie. The way you set up the two way etc is outstanding & I have pinched some ideas for my 950SE to date.

I believe you KLR / KLX knowledge will help some poor traveler / ADV'r along the road one day.

We are all individuals. I also own a cat, but don't get all bent out of shape about the cat jokes on here, or the post count crap.

Keep on riding.

The beer is in the fridge - get it ya self! (See I was right, the beer is in the fridge isn't it)

Outback jack, now here's were you are wrong, The girlies I know are right in all ways so they don't need to carry much gear, pure as driven snow and tough as bear grills.
Now to matches v's lighters: Us lovely girlies don't have ear wax to remove because we are much too pure, but you fellas will have ear fuzz that needs trimming so you can get to the gallons of ear wax which has been solidified by clouds of dust into concrete. So I would suggest a match AND a lighter, the lighter will fix all the hairy bits and you already know the benefits of a match - a woman must have told you.

Personally I like to floss, dental floss has a multitude of uses as it's fine but quite strong, and waxed so knots don't loosen.

Thetrev knows, now that he's been told.

(I'll get myself and I can see my husband )

How many litres does it suck out of your tank? and can you get it back out of the filler neck once swollen?
