The boys made it into Tynda. Seemingly they havent got to internet yet. I am guessing a warm meal and warm dry bed was their first priority.

There is SEVERE weather ahead of them. Mega flooding across all of Far Eastern Russia. For more detail see here https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...=share_comment

All is well. Kim and I finally found a hotel with internet. we are in Khabarovsk now.

The weather and rain have made the old summer road impossible/impassable. I don't really see the point of going to Magadan if I cant do the Old summer road.. So I decided to go to Sveta's to wait for my carnet.

I will have time to get caught up next week when she is working.

Kim will either go to Sakhalin and on to Japan or ship in a shared container from Vlad.

Thanks for all the kind words. The BAM was great fun.

Glad you are well.

You are going to skip the Road of Bones?

There is so much rain.. everything is flooded. The old summer road is flooded and the federal highway to Magadan is closed due to flooding and wash outs. Its not doable now this year.

Tough choice between a road full of mud ,deep river crossing etc or a warn bed.

Good thing I am not the one taking that tough decision!

Enjoy , you are a lucky man!

Noah, or any of the rest of ya'll FF's dont know how close of tabs ya'll are keeping on Joe on the F800GSA but according to BMW facebook page he took a tumble off a sketchy bridge on the BAM on his way to the Vidim Bridge... Link to FB Page

Be careful out there Noah, sorry about the weather but good on ya for keeping a level head and not ruining your equipment by attempting it by yourself

Just saw this a few minutes ago and thought about posting it. Good thing they took their motos by hand across some of the bad looking bridges. This guy wasn't so careful...
