Hope the "Hobbit Toe" has gotten better. Gout sucks, I used to think that only sailors and pirates get that, but have since met a couple of really "Tough guys" that have gotten sidelined by the pain it can bring.

It's great "armchair" travelling along with you!

Beautiful pics, Japan looks so clean. It's really interesting to see the pics of the countryside and, of course, the motorcycles. Very cool.

Thanks for the concerns guys. I had meds when I had the attack. After 5 days or so I was back to normal. I don't like taking meds unless I have to. This was the first (and hopefully only/last) time its happened. I'm hoping the diet will do the trick. I also have to make sure I keep hydrated. I know that played a major role.

I always wondered but never asked: how are the muscles doing on a rtw? Are you doing any exercices on a regular basis? Since there is little walking I suppose? How are your abs and your back doing?

+1

I know I would have wanted to travel and report in the same way, but
when I get home after a 200 mile trip with 7 pictures, I just CAN NOT BE
BOTHERED. I'm too lazy!

That's why Noah'z got so much respect from me, not only for the nutcase
trip, but for keeping up with reporting in that much detail and with so many
shots, even if he lost his beard!

Also, need to complement you on an absolutely amazing report. I've been following for, I want to say, a year? Everyday I come back in here and check for an update. As others have mentioned, I also notice your english is becoming a bit more broken in your updates; I'm guessing this is because you've been away from the language for so long, much as a New Yorker will pick up a Texas drawl after living there for a while. Anyways, ride safe, and thanks again!
You want I take your picture?
The writing takes a while. I have to sit down and make myself do it. But I gotta keep doing this report.. because I fell behind my paper journal this summer then stopped all together. So keep nagging me if I get behind because I really need to have all this written down somewhere

Well, the snowboarding in Georgia actually got me in pretty good shape. And the riding in Asia this summer wasn't exactly a cakewalk. When I started the trip I was around 205 lbs and now I'm hovering around 175 lbs. My back and arms haven't been a problem. As for exercise, I don't set aside time for it. I do a bit of walking to explore towns. I like to park the bike once I get to a town or city.

Ooh!
Sexytime!

I need 6 months to grow that much beard, WTF!

Make sure you give proper instructions to your next barber or I'm
unsubscribing from the thread!

Cheers from Osijek, Croatia!

Down to 175 from 205... Lets just say I put on a few sympathy pounds while my wife was pregnant this summer. She keeps telling me to get back to the gym. Maybe I can use Noah's little RTW adventure to justify some travel plans.

I had one haircut here in Japan. The barber kept asking me about 20 times "Ok? Ok? Ok?" "Yes! just buzz my head already! I don't want to look like flock of seagulls like you dude!"

Nah thats not the hairdo - this is (note - I never got the side height, but I did get the front look - and had a sleeveless t-shirt with horizontal stripes to finish the "look" - LOL - not my finest hour)

Great report and do check for updates everyday. On your haircut, were clippers in use? I remember my haircuts there in the early '60's where they used nothing but scissors and they worked them so fast with their fingers, it almost sounded like an electric pairs. keep it coming and thanks again for all the time and work to let us follow you.
