1.125 or 1.250 O.D. .060 wall 304 stainless exhaust tube - source?
I'm modding the exhaust on my pit bike and am having a heck of a time finding a source for 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 OD thin wall tube...
Anyone have any suggestions?

I like mcmaster for lots of things, but not stainless tubing.
onlinemetals.com is my preferred source for stainless tubing.

How much do you need?
I can get 1.25x.060 304 polished ss tube fairly cheap but then mailing cost will add some. Where are you? edit: Here is another thought. Are there any welding shops that service food processing plants or a dairy close by? The tubing is called 'sanitary pipe'.

![]() Post up your questions there's tons of really talented fabricators and welders here that can give you better advice than I can.

Someone mentioned header wrap in another post. If you are going to wrap it or if it is your first build, why not start off with MS? It's a lot easier to work with, quite a bit cheaper and for you application you'd never notice a difference in performance. Plus if you are wrapping it then no one even knows you started with SS! 1.125" is pretty small and I don't have a ready supplier of it. Most people with looking for the dimension I send to Classic Tube, http://www.classictube.com/products/exhaust-tubes they are not inexpensive though. Rich |
