Yeah, the bike was just minding it's own business on it's center stand well away from the lines of other spaces.

Ouch...

Actually, if the Tiger had a subframe you probably would not be f*&#ed. You just change the subframe, less amount of parts to be moved and you are good as new. The Tiger has one single frame, so if it bends the whole thing needs to be disassembled to replace the frame. Usually, total loss from insurance perspective.

Thanks Lion, Its refered to as a weld-on subframe as everyone who bought one is painfully aware of this limitation, thanks for twisting the dagger lol

My issue is I had this rig built out the crate, bought accessories, am well beyond the MSRP much less what the depreciation value is right today. "total" loss is a loose term at this point

I thought insurance also covered aftermarket accessories up to a certain amount? Sorry to hear/see this happen...what a depressing shopping trip.

I have moved mine. Rerouted and zip-tied out of the way on the left hand side about level with the top of the gear shift linkage bar.

I'm going to take a stab and guess that there was a manufacturing error in the signals for only a specified period of time. Production dates October 2011 - November 2012.

Dang! That is just wrong.

I was crying about a stripped handlebar clamp bolt and then I see this...right before riding season?! I hope it gets straightened out soon!

ANOTHER stepper motor!!

Just had my 2nd stepper motor replaced, plus one cleaning, in 5000 miles! It sounded terrible, kind of like a love sick bull instead of the usual fax machine sound. The tech said he quizzed a Triumph rep about a solution and the reply was, "stay out of the dirt"! Not willing to accept that B.S., he greased the pivot/bushing and also cut a small piece of old filter foam and glued it over the screened air intake of the motor. I need to get in the dirt and test his theory that dirt is getting inside the motor. I hope it works because my warranty expires in Dec. and that stupid little motor is damn near $200!

I tried disconnecting the battery and same thing happened. I rode to work this morning and everything sounded fine.

Sound familiar to anyone?
I have had no problems with my 2012 Tiger 800 until now. Went on a long ride on Sunday. Monday morning, it wouldn't turn over. Dash lights come on but no turning over. Not even a click. The next two days it's run fine, but the engine service light is on.

I have a '13 800, which the dealer recieved at the beginning of March (not sure of the actual build date). I was in last weekend for my 500 mile service and the Service Manager mentioned this to me and said I was affected. I'll probably just deal with it at the 2000mi oil change.
